Privacy
No cookies. No analytics. What this site sends, and where.
This notice describes how fusiontrace.io works today. Effective: 18 October 2026.
Who publishes this site
fusiontrace.io is published by BlueWave Technology, Inc., an Oklahoma corporation, as steward of the FusionTrace Evidence Standard until the FusionTrace Foundation takes it over. Write to standard@fusiontrace.io about anything in this notice.
What this site does not do
It sets no cookies and uses no browser storage. It runs no analytics, no advertising, and no pixels or beacons. It has no accounts and no sign-in. It holds no incident records: records belong to the businesses that make them.
When you visit a page
Cloudflare serves every page of this site. To deliver a page, Cloudflare processes your IP address and the details your browser sends with each request, such as the address of the page and your browser type, under Cloudflare's own policies. Cloudflare may also ask your browser to send it reports of network errors. The site's own code keeps no log of your visit. The publisher can see the request counts Cloudflare reports for the site; they do not name visitors.
When you press Play on a film
A page with a film shows a still image served by this site. Only when you press Play does your browser load the film player from Cloudflare Stream, the film host. From then on, Cloudflare Stream receives your IP address, your browser's details and the address of this site, under its own policies. Nothing loads from the film host before you press Play.
When you use the Verify page
A file you drop on the Verify page is read and checked in your browser. It is never sent anywhere. A hash you paste to compare stays in your browser. The certificate check sends the certificate ID you type, and nothing else, to this site's server in the body of the request. The server reads that certificate's status from the FusionTrace Academy™'s records, as described below, and keeps no record of the check.
When you open the Registry or a certificate's page
The Registry, and a certificate's page at fusiontrace.io/registry/ followed by a certificate's ID, are filled in by this site's server from the records of the FusionTrace Academy, server to server. Your browser still talks only to this site. The ID in the address reaches the server as part of the page address, like any other page. Your IP address is used for a moment to limit how many certificate pages and checks one address can open in a minute, and is not kept. The site's own code keeps no log of the lookup. The Registry lists agencies and organizations, never individual people, and a certificate's page shows a person's name only if that person chose to show it.
The FusionTrace Academy, at academy.fusiontrace.io, is a separate site for the people and agencies in training. It has accounts and its own privacy notice.
When you send a form
The law enforcement agency inquiry and the nonprofit application send what you type, and how long the form was open (to tell people from automated submissions), to this site's server. The server forwards them, with your IP address and your browser type, to BlueWave Technology, Inc.'s inquiry system, which runs on a third-party hosting provider. The publisher uses them to answer you and to keep a record of the inquiry. Nothing from a form is placed in a web address, and nothing is sold. Form entries are kept until the inquiry is resolved. To have yours deleted sooner, write to standard@fusiontrace.io and it will be deleted.
When you write to us
A message to standard@fusiontrace.io is handled by the publisher's email provider and read by a person at the publisher, who uses it to answer you.
Your choices
You can ask what the publisher holds about you from a form or a message, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted, by writing to standard@fusiontrace.io.
Children
This site is not directed to children, and it does not knowingly collect information from them.
